The Forums tab is where you will set up the different categories of forums that your users can browse and post in. The format of the forums is such that each parent forum can't be posted if it has any children. All forums that do not have any children is where your posts will be made. For example, if you have this structure:

Electronics
  -- TV's
  -- Computers
      --  Keyboards

Then posts can only be made in the TV's and Keyboards forum. This flexible method allows you to create forums that are relatively specific to a topic, or to be left open to a wider, more general discussion.

Current Forums

The treeview in the Current Forums section show you all of the forums that you have created and also demonstrate their hierarchy. It will not contain any forums you have marked as deleted.

New Forum

This section will allow you to create a new forum. Simply type in it's name and description, and then either add it as a "root" forum or select an appropiate place in the hierarchy and add it to that selected forum.

Delete Forum

The delete forum will let you remove forums that you decide you do not want to appear when user's browse your site. These forums are not permanantly deleted and you can recover them at a later date if needed.

Restore Forum

The Restore Forum section allows you to recover a previously deleted forum. As with the New Forum, you can simply select a forum and then either restore it as a "root" forum or select an appropiate place in the hierarchy and add it to that selected forum.
